our client says Reise ins geheimnisvolle Königreich Mustang Am 1. Mai 2010 machten sich, 7 abenteuerhungrige Schweizer auf den langen Flug nach Kathmandu. Einerseits mit grosser Vorfreude und andererseits mit einem etwas mulmigen Gefühl, da in ganz Nepal einen Generalstreik vorausgesagt wurde und wir nicht wussten ob unser Trekking ins Königreich Mustang wirklich zustande kommen wird. Doch am Flughafen in Kathmandu wurden wir schon von Yagya unserem Trekkinguide vor Ort freundlich empfangen und er cauffierte uns mit dem Bus das erste Mal durch die Strassen von Kathmandu in unser Hotel im Stadtteil Tamel. Durch den Streik waren alle Einheimischen auf der Strasse, überall wurden Parolen gerufen , rote Flaggen und T-Shirt getragen, es herrschte ein richtiges Chaos und das richtige Leben stand völlig still, ausser wir als Touristen wurden noch in der Stadt herumgefahren. Müde und froh sind wir dann im Hotel angekommen und genossen ein par Stunden für uns bis wir uns dann gemeinsam zum Abendessen trafen. read more View All

This popular region lies between the  Langtang and Everest range. The major highlights of this trek are the captivating sights of both Mount Langtang and Mount Everest. The trekkers will be rewarded with the enchanting views of Majestic Mount Gauri Shanker (7134 m.).

This trek begins from Dolakha, a small township near Charikot, an eight hours drive from Kathmandu. The trail following the course of River Tamakoshi on the way to Simigaon adds more thrills to the trek. In this trail the Glaciar  ALake Tsho Rolpa offers unforgettable experience.

Itinerary Detail
Day 01: Kathmandu Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, Grace Himalayan will officially greet and meet you at Airport & transfer you to Delux hotel. You will have leisure time, followed by an evening welcome dinner at a typical Nepalese Restaurant. Overnight in Kathmandu (1,000m/3,280ft).

Day 02: KathmanduHalf-day guided city tours with the home language  tour guide (tour includes Kathmandu Durbar Square, Syambunath Stupa, Pashupati Nath Temple - Hindu Temple & Buddha Nath - The biggest Buddha Stupa in ancient Kathmandu). Afternoon
pre-trip discussion of the trek. Overnight in Kathmandu 3,280ft).
 
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu (1350m.) to Dolakha (1660m.) via Lamosangu (750m.) and Charikot (1980m.) by bus.

Day 04: Drive from Dolakha to Shigati (950m.) via Piguti (920m.) which takes about three and half hours. The trails pass through gravel road crossing the different villages of mixed community. You have to cross the several streams and jungles with varieties of orchid, rhodendron and other natural vegetation.

Day 05: Trek from Shigati to Jagat (1440m.) and it takes about seven hours. You trek through normal flat land along the side of the river. You pass through rice terraced. There are small villages on your way which are inhabited by mixed community. Several times, you cross the jungles covered by orchid, few rhododendron trees and wild vegetation. Now you cross a suspension bridge to reach Jagat, a small town resided by people of mixed culture.

Day 06: Trek from Jagat to Simigaon (2020m.)
which takes about seven and half hours. The first part of your trails follows normally flat path, then it ascends and descends through the jungle. Several places, you cross through suspension bridge. There are numerous villages on your way. You can find small teashops and local shops at some of the places. Steeply climb up to Simigaon, a village inhabited by Buddhist and few Hindus.

Day 07: Trek from Simigaon to Daldung La (3976m.)
and it takes about seven hours. On the route you come across the Sherpa villages. The uphill trek is rich in different varieties of plants and Rhododendron trees. After the uphill trek you will now come across ascending and descending paths while enjoying the scenic beauty of the place. If it happens to be a season you will witness the Yak Naka a temporary Yak shed especially for the preparation of cheese and butter.

Day 08: Trek from Daldung La to Beding (3690m.) which takes about seven and half hours.  The trek now ascends uphill through different varieties of plants and Rhododendron trees. You trek over the suspension bridges over the deep gorges in few places making the trek even more enchanting. You finally reach Beding which is a big Sherpa village.

Day 09: Rest day at Beding for acclimatization. You can hike in and around for acclimatization and have panoramic views of mountains like Mt. Gauri Shanker, Tibetan mountains of the Tibetan boarder.

Day 10: Trek from Beding to Na (4180m.) and it takes about four hours.  This day you can explore the upper slopes of the valley for Snow Partridge or a visit to the nearby glacier lake. The trek path slightly ascends along the river bank. The place is an open path with fresh air and the charming sound of the river. You can have the panoramic view of the mountains as the trek moves forward. You will also come across the Sherpa village having their own specialties.

Day 11: Rest Day at Na for preparation for Ramdung Go (5930m.). You will be able to witness the various views of mountains like Gauri Shanker, Menlung, Yalung and the mountains of the Tibet. You will be on a Yalung Glacier camp today.

Day 12: Trek from Na to Tso Rolpa Lake (4540m.) You will be trekking through the flat and gradually up path. You will be able to witness the beautiful Natural Lake filled with the chilling water of the glaciers. The views of Menlung and Tibetan Side Mountains add glory to your trek.

Day 13: Trek Tso Rolpa to Trakarding Glacier (4800m.) Early morning you will walk through the glaciers throughout the day and will be able to experience the new enchanting beauties that would add extra dimensions into your trial.

Day 14: Trek from Trakarding Glacier to Tashi Lapcha Pedi Camp (5755m.)
The trail will still be ascending through some rock climbing and a gradual walk on the glacier. You will camp into Tashi Lapcha Pedi Camp today.

Day 15: Climb from Tashi Lapcha Pedi to Tashi Lapcha Pass (5755m.)
to Tashi Cape. You will climb up the Tashi Lapcha Pedi and cross the Tashi Lapcha Pass through Tashi Cape. The trial will completely be over the snow straight up and then steep down towards Tashi Cape.

Day 16: Trek from Tashi Cape to Thyomgbo (4350m.) Today you will be experiencing a bit easy glacier walking. The trail descends down towards Thyomgbo.

Day 17: Trek Thyomgbo to Thame (3820m.) Early morning you will trek don to Thame. This trail gradually descends and you will have an added experience of easier trail and will be able to enjoy the natural beauty of the environment.

Day 18: Trek Thame to Namche Bazaar (3440m.) The trail descends gently for early one hour to Sanasa (3550m.). Now you have a glimpse of first really good views of the great peaks of the Khumbu including Mt Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kusum Kangaru. Passing by several villages and numerous teashops, the trail descends steeply to a bridge over the river Dudh Koshi at Phunki Tenga (3250m.) Although exhausting due to the zigzag path, the trek has numerous attractions like rhododendron bushes, beautiful birds chirping and superb mountain scenery making your trek exciting. Tyangboche is famous passing by several villages and numerous teashops, the trail ascends steeply to Sanasa where local Sherpa people sell the Tibetan goods. The way from Sanasa to Namche has small ups and downs with view of forests, scenery and mountains.

Day 19: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2886 m.)
and it takes about six hours. The last day of your trek leads from Namche Bazaar via Monjo to Lukla. The trek is pleasant, except for few short uphill climbs and then down to the Bhote- Koshi River crossing it three times. The last uphill climb of 45 minutes will bring you to Lukla for your overnight stay.

Day 20: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu.
You take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu which takes 40 minutes

Day 21: Explore day in Kathmandu-1,350/4,428ft
This pleasant day you may have full day at leisure and either relax at hotel or explore the Thamel and overnight at hotel.

Day 22: Final Depature to your onward Destination
Today is free or last minute shopping for souvenirs or gift to your family, friends or relatives for you until your departure flight/drive or to commence any extra trips or activities you may have booked with us. If departing, you'll be transferred to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onwards destination.
